Returned

I couldn't let go. Really....I can't. I just got in from a week in the best vineyards & wineries in Washington State & all I want is another glass of some of that incredible juice. So I popped the cork on the Chateau Rollat "Rollat" 2005 Walla Walla. This beauty is comprised of 80% cabernet sauvignon & 15% merlot (both from Pepperbridge Vineyard) with 5% cabernet franc from Seven Hills Vineyard West. It has a nice dark currant & cedar note on the nose with hints of cassis & black cherry. The palate has a dark core of clove, black currant & a linear texture that is getting more plush by the minute. Oh geez....I miss Washington.

Hey Michael
I saw your name on my list of attendees for Road Trip Washington. I was wondering what you thought of our side of Washington. Very different than the west. We think our terroir is very unique and special, producing incredibly wines with a rich core of fruit, great structure and longivity. This is a great place for grapes and wine geeks.
Hope all is going well,
Take care,
Sabrina
BTW: Boo called me today and said he met you and Brad at Joe's while making the rounds.

It was an incredible experience, truly. Starkly beautiful. I've loved WA wines for a long time now, I remember Richie's uncle sending him some K about 4 yrs ago. But after this trip my obsession has gotten worse! Too bad we didn't get to see each other & catch up. Hope all is well.
